About

gs-image-logo-2The Girl Scouts of Central California South serves the needs of girls, Kindergarten through 12th Grade, in Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings, and Kern Counties with programs that help them grow, learn and have fun.

When she’s a Girl Scout, she’s also a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™.

Go-getter: She’s bold, honest, and determined to succeed. Goal-oriented and ambitious, she’s also a life-long learner who believes no challenge is too difficult!

Innovator: Thinking outside the box is her specialty, so she’s always looking for a creative way to take action. She definitely knows how to get things done.

Risk-taker: Courageous and strong, she’s keen to try new things and to embrace the unfamiliar. She’s ready to step up and break the mold if that’s what it takes.

Leader: She’s confident, responsible, and committed to changing the world for the better—and she’s happiest when others join her in taking the lead!

These are the traits that define girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

From Madera through Kern counties, approximately 11,000 girls from all walks of life have the Girl Scout experience every year.  Of those girls, more than 5,000, whom would not be able to participate due to various life situations, are part of our subsidized Girl Scouts Connect (GSC) program at no cost burden to their families. GSC complements the great work schools do every day by helping girls to overcome development-compromising risks in safe, quality after-school programs. The program will instill confidence, provide life and leadership skills, and improve the lives of girls who would not otherwise have this opportunity to reach their full potential.

Girl Scouts of Central California South is the premier girl organization that produces quality leaders who ensure hope for the future.

You can help us raise awesome girls!
